Team Coaching Topics

Live Your "100"

In this introductory session, I share my story to inspire young athletes to learn to control what they can and strive to improve each day. This session will introduce them to coaching but they will have much less participation than in other sessions.

Turning dreams into habits

Players will learn to use their current dreams as motivation for developing daily habits that will result in confidence and eventually success.

Mindset

Players will learn to identify their current mindset, fixed or growth, and learn to make positive adjustments for improvement.

Experiential Learning

In this session players will focus on the values behind past positive experiences.  After recalling a past experience they will share positive memories in order to find commonalities throughout the team.

The 2 wolves

Players will analyze and discuss the positive and negative voices we all hear.  Upon recognizing the driving forces behind those voices players will discuss and learn how to control which voices they focus on.

Developing an attitude for gratitude

Players will learn the advantages of developing a lifestyle of gratitude.

Team Toxins

In this session, players will learn to understand and combat the attitudes and personality traits that will arise, and possibly harm a team, during competition.

Handle your business

Players will discuss all that has been learned and be challenged to take ownership of their own abilities and responsibilities.

Matt helped foster a gritty mindset within these girls and encouraged them to take responsibility for their words and actions.   He helped this record-breaking team elevate their status from great to special…Hard work is our flex!
